*Insert Clever Title*

yes people, im starting to run dry. my social and working life is leaving me with very little time to myself. but if it means lying in king's park with fiona then i don't mind. ok, time for a run-down on whats been happening.
sunday night was the carols in the park. it went really well, everyone sang beautifully. we tried to sell cans of soft drink but unfortunately we only got $50. oh, on saturday i was shopping with fiona. we had a lot of fun. we went to an 18th party, left early and watched king arthur. i got home around 1:30am, not bad considering i had to get up for church. after that we all sort of hung around at various places, then went to the forementioned carols. spent the night at ryan's and played halo2 and won a few games, not bad considering the amount of time ryan has spent playing it. on monday i was up and headed home to shower and shave before i picked up fiona and went on a picnic with her. well, not quite a picnic, we ate lunch at her house first, we spent the time in the park talking and lying there together. after that we went swimming at joy's and kim's house before i had to rush her home.
this now brings me to today *ominous silence*. i decided that i should work. so i went into work. not a very eventful day but when is work ever fun. hmmmm, this blog has been a little boring lately. i don't think alyce is ever going to write her piece of my story so i think all interest by others has now stopped. ill try to add some more excitement later on. with youth finished might be a little hard to add pics, ill have to find something to take pics of.
goodbye for now my friends, may u have a merry christmas and a happy new year.

Like Sand Through An Hour Glass, These Are The Days Of My Life

Well, well, well. Looks like your back again to read up on my life, hope your finding it as interesting as i do.
Now, i did a post on sunday night which means you all know about my weekend, which means i need to work out what i've been doing since. The main thing that hopes into mind is BUMMING AROUND!! thats what i did on monday and tuesday. Now wednesday, oh boy, thats an interesting tale. I decided that i need money, so i went into work. Nothing terribly exciting happened there, i just did the same old signing in samples and putting them in correct areas. The exciting part happens after work, so i hope your all still paying attention. I went straight home and got ready for tim's 18th b'day party that night. Fiona arrived at my house and we went to tim's from there. At his house we spent a few hours swimming and messing around in his pool. After his party, fiona and i went back to my place and spent an hour outside talking and looking at the stars. Around 1:30am fiona felt it was time for her to go home so i said goodnight and went straight to bed after that.
Today wasn't quite as exciting, i visited my grandparents because i hadn't seen them for awhile. When i was at their house i logged on to the internet and chatted to alyce and laura for a bit. You will probaly have noticed several messages from shortie in my shoutbox, that would be laura, and i just want to add that some people think i seem quite nice.
Hmmmmm, pretty dull week, hopefully next week will be better. I've got a picnic with fiona on monday, we're going to this little known park called King's Park.
Time to sign off i guess, maybe i'll give laura a call. Night all!

And the award for sexy legs goes to......

ME!!
Who else did you expect it to go to.
Alots been happening to me lately. On friday morning i went into work, so i could get it out of the way. After that i went over to carosel to do some chrissie shopping. A couple of hours later i left with my arms weighed down by shopping and my wallet much lighter. I now have presents for you all, so i expect some back.
Sat arvo saw me arriving at the bunton's earlier for our lights of perth tour. We headed to king's park where we hung out for awhile. At this point Ryan handed out awards to people for various reasons. I got the sexy legs award, diana got the crash dummy award for slamming into a wall when go-karting. Justin got the taxi award, don't think that needs explainging. Michael got the award for being gorgeous. Fiona got the survival award for teaching us how to ration shcmacko's. There were some other awards but i forget. Anyway, long story short we went into freo, bought alot of chips, and ate them in a park. Then we went and saw some lights around the area. Unfortunantly, fiona sprained her ankle. Aside from that, the night was good. Went back to ryan's, stayed the night and played halo2 till late.
Sunday we woke up early amd went to church. There was an interesting sermon from a guest pastor. After that we grabbed some lunch at chicken treat, where we bumped into my mate tim. Played halo2 more at ryan's, fiona got bored so she and i went to her house and watched ella enchanted. Its a really funny movie, similar to shrek in some ways. Went home after that, felt bad about not going to the carols in the park presented by fiona's old church.
Hope you all enjoyed hearing about my life. I want to get the next part of my story up soon, i just need to get alyce to write it.
Bye Bye

Towering Inferno!

Sweat dripped from my brow as I slowly walked through the unfamiliar hallway. The splintered remains of the door behind me is soon engulfed by the horrifying flames. I come out into a lounge room; fire is flickering up the walls as I search the room for any signs of life. A small child is huddled in the corner, coughing violently. An almighty crash drowns out the roaring of fire as a solid wooden beam, drenched in flames falls through the roof and lands just in front of me. The fire greedily devours the carpet around it and starts to search for more fuel. Realising the peril that I faced, I pulled my shirt over my mouth and ran towards the crouching child. Tendrils of smoke work its way into my mouth and down my throat. My lungs seize up as it tries to expel the smoke. I stumble. Landing next to the child, I quickly grab him and lift him over my shoulder. With the boy secure on my shoulder, I start to look for a means of escape. The door I kicked in earlier is now a raging inferno. For only a split second, I feel the softest breeze on my check before it’s replaced with scorching wind. I turn towards the source and run. More smoke enters my lungs, I feel my eyes start to water and my lips crack due to the heat. I slam against the wall and slowly work my way towards the door at the back. As I step through the doorway, my body starts to tingle. With some unknown instinct, I hurl myself to the ground and shield the child with my body. BOOM! Fire had worked its way towards the gas cylinders and ignited them. Glass shards are sprayed everywhere and the house starts to billow huge clouds of thick, black smoke into the clear sky. I crawl away from the ruins of the house, will sirens echo through the hills. I sigh with relief, knowing that we will now be safe.

Ok, I’m sure you all realise that the story I just wrote is a tad exaggerated. I didn't burst into the house as much as I stood at the end of the driveway and watched the firefighters battle the flames and luckily, no one was home. The burning house was true though. At 3pm, I noticed the fire trucks, at the end of my street a house was on fire. It was three doors away from me, but it was close enough to make me nervous. I couldn't see the fire but I could see the smoke rising up. Must have been a terrible thing for the people of that house to hear that their home is now a smouldering pile of ash. Actually, it wasn't quite that bad, they lost half the house but most of their possessions would be damaged by smoke. The worse part was I couldn't hear a smoke alarm until I was at the end of my driveway, so I wonder how long their lives were burning for before someone actually noticed it. This makes me start to wonder what possessions would be grabbed first if my house was on fire. I didn't really have to think very much about it, I would grab the letter I received from jess on my birthday, it contains photos from her that mean a lot to me. The second thing I would grab is this shoebox in my wardrobe; it contains various small items that mean a lot to me. I realised then that everything in my room is just materialistic, and while they might have some small memory behind them, they are just replaceable stuff. Maybe we should all start to appreciate everything that happens to us and everything that we have that can't be replaced, like friends and family. Because who knows when it will all disappear.

Part 4

Ladies and gentlemen, i present to you the fourth installement of The Epic.

..... Kyo takes Miaka's hand and together they begin their long arduous walk through the wasteland. It was a beautiful site. The sun was above them; shining on the snow and making it sparkle. It was like diamonds sprinkled everywhere. The heat from it felt nice on their skin. They didn’t know where they were going; they just knew that they had to get away from there, before they decided to come back. They both ached and were sore all over. "How are you feeling Mia?" "Im doing ok, i just wish that this never happened." "I know." And Kyo stops walking, which made Miaka stop too. He took a couple of steps to her and embraced her. "Everything will be alright, I love you Mia, and no matter what happens, we will always be together." She begins to cry a little, and says, "I love you too Kyo." All this hardship that they had endured; the crash, losing the baby, their awful experience with their oppressors that lasted for who knew how long, and now this trek through the deep snow and trees. It was too much. She stepped back and wiped her eyes.” We should keep going." The comfort of their embrace, gave them more strength to continue. It was difficult to walk. Their feet were so cold, that they were beginning to lose any feeling in them. It felt like they were going in circles, everything seemed to look the same. Just when they were about to collapse on the ground from walking what seemed hours, they heard voices. In the woods its kind of difficult to tell which direction sounds are coming from, but these voices were close by. They made their way towards the voices, straight ahead of them, and made sure to hide behind a big tree that had fallen down. They were a few yards from them, and could see perfectly over the tree without being noticed (or at least they hoped so). There were two guys who were tall and stocky. They both wore black ski pants. One wore a red and black coat, while the other one on the left, wore a coat that was mostly green with a bit of black on it. Miaka and Kyo watched them intently. The two men were squatted on the ground talking about making a fire. "I don’t know Sam, i would think that a fire would be better if we dug a pit in the snow, instead of lying the sticks on top of it." Said the first guy in red, while he starts to stand. "C'mon Chris, you cant make a fire like that. What if the fire melts the snow and it puts out the fire?" " Yeah....well lets just do it your way ok?." "Good." said the guy in green, smiling. " Go and get the wood and set it up. I'll be over here getting the food and stuff ready." said the one in red named Chris. It seemed that the two men didn’t really know what to do. Miaka and Kyo sat debating on what to do. "Im going to follow the guy who went to get wood." said Kyo, “You sit here, and I think things will be safe if I just go." “But, what about your arm?" "It'll be alright, just don’t move from here, ok?" "Ok." Kyo leans in and gave Miaka a quick kiss on her cold lips, and starts to follow the guy. He hated to leave her there by herself, but he had to find out about these guys and if they could help them. The guy didn’t go too far to get wood; it would probably be a little tough for them to get a fire started with wet wood.... Not to mention night was coming soon and something had to be done soon. These two were definitely not the hillbillies they had encountered; Kyo remembered everything about those hillbillies. He despised them so much for what they did. He'll remember them always. His vengeance burned inside him. He drew his attention back to the guy in green. He was stooping over to get a piece of wood on the ground, but then quickly dropped it and decided to cut some branches off a tree, it would be drier anyways. Kyo was a few yards away from him, behind another tree. His heart was beating so fast it felt like it would jump right out of his chest. He had to do something to make himself known and not have things become hostile with the guy. Kyo was prepared to fight if things did become unfriendly. He wasn’t afraid, so he stepped away from the tree and coughed to get his attention. The guy turned around with a surprised face that quickly turned into a stern, straight face. This was a guy to not mess with. "Who the hell are you?".......

My Life, The Updated Version

Greetings my friends, i bare news of my life that im sure you will want to know. On saturday night i went to youth group where we played monopoly all night. i had to declare bankruptcy near the end of the game, after scraping together over a thousand dollars on 3 occasions. Brendan was the first to go but we conceded defeat after i went under. over at the other table lauren and alyce where battling it out against each other. screams of rage and victory echoed throughout cannington whenever one of them landed on the others property. after a couple of gruelling hours they called it a draw, to the relief of those watching. everyone pretty much went home after that.
sunday saw me going to church. after that, we spent a few hours playing halo2 on the xbox, im getting pretty good at it, i managed to get my score in the positives and annoy justin endlessly. mwahahahahaha. i also annoyed paul because i killed him the most.
the most exciting thing for my week was the picnic i had with fiona at mundaring wier on monday. the weather was clear and barely anyone there. we got the chance to lie down together and listern to the insects chirp and the sound of water gently lapping against the shore. mmmmmmmmm.... so relaxing. after a few hours of that we headed home again.
that pretty much sums up my life. exciting huh?
ok, i got a couple of links to add, first is for my mate shane. yes, he too has been sucked into this void that is called blogging. i knew he was weak *cleanchs fist in a dramatic pose*
here is the link to his page [Link]
the seond is to a website similar to penny arcade that i mentioned ages ago. its called pvp and is really fun. go check it out when your bored. [Link]

the next piece of my epic should be up tomorrow. so stayed tuned for another exciting adverture of matt's life.

And This Is Called A Space Filler

A man was sprawled across three entire seats in a theater. When the usher came by and noticed this, he whispered to the man, "Sorry sir, but you''re only allowed one seat."

The man groaned but didn''t budge. The usher became impatient.

"Sir," the usher said, "if you don''t get up from there, I''m going to have to call the manager."

Again, the man just groaned, which infuriated the usher who turned and marched briskly back up the aisle in search of his manager. In a few moments, both the usher and the manager returned and stood over the man. Together the two of them tried repeatedly to move him, but with no success. Finally, they summoned the police. The cop surveyed the situation briefly.

"All right, buddy. What''s your name?"

"Sam," the man moaned.

"Where ya from, Sam?" the cop asked.

"The balcony."

Jingle Bells

Christmas is fast approaching and the season to be jolly is now upon us. We've started putting up our christmas decorations as you will be able to see below this post. Shopping centres are now becoming packed as people hunt for the perfect present for a loved one. This is just a large reminder to me that i need to start my christmas shopping. For those few whom i buy presents for you should feel special. The problem i face is deciding who gets something. My closest friends will get something certainly but i'm still choosing which of my other friends have been nice enough to deserve it. SO LET THE RECKONING BEGIN!!
I hope that i actually get to see my friends before christmas so i can give them their presents and receive the gifts that im sure i deserve. I'm thinking of having a BBQ at my place sometime soon, maybe between christmas and new years. I'll personally invite people so that way they can't weasel out of it like at shane's party.
Farewell my friends, expect cards soon.

Here is our christmas tree. Doesn't it look nice.It took me ages to get a good pic that showed the lights. Posted by Hello

Just some lights we put up on the side window to make things more festive. Posted by Hello

Part 3

Finally i now have the third installmant of the Epic

Miaka wakes from a sleep that seemed as long as the ages her vision is cloudy and doubled and her head hurts worse than that time after the love parade. She tries to sit up and get the scope of her surroundings she can hardly remember where she last was or why her ribs feel as though they have been replaced by burning hot twisted metal. As she begins to rise from the bed she finds she is restrained tied at the feet and her hands bound together with cable ties, she wonders why she didn’t notice before; the ties are so tight that her wrists are bleeding. slowly she struggles to a sitting position her hands being behind her back and her ribs obviously broken she doesn’t even attempt to free her feet instead she looks around the gloomy room noticing for the first time a faint smell of old smoke like that of decades of wood burning in an open fire, the only thing stopping it reminding her of Christmas in her childhood is the lack of the smell of pine from the freshly cut tree and the presence of a sickening smell similar to that of an abattoir. As her vision clears, she sees she is in a hunting shack its wall adorned with the stuffed testaments to years and generations of hunters who have used the shack. Miaka's heart inflates in a way that seems unimaginable in a place such as this at the sight of her beloved Kyo, lying on the floor shoeless and shirtless with cuts and bruises across his smooth body. She is so overwhelmed that she doesn’t notice the rope binding him to a point in the middle of the room. Suddenly it all comes flooding back, the flight from her home, getting lost in the bleak cold of the mountains, Kyo’s angry erratic driving and her strangely familiar rescuers all of a sudden she wishes she could wake up from this terrible dream. It had to be a dream where else would you meet batman and wake up bound and bloodied, she clings to this weak mental farce as long as her rationality will allow her, which is just long enough to make her break into tears. Kyo rouses suddenly aware of his girlfriend being awake he implores her to silence, "Miaka, calm down, they went out but if they find you awake they might..." Kyo breaks off a look of pain and suffering in his eyes Miaka had never seen before; he regains his composure and continues "just calm down ok? now can you get out of those?" Miaka's strength returns as she’s overcome by joy at seeing her boyfriend alive and seemingly ok "where were you...the car crash I was trapped how did we get here? Where is here? why are we tied up?" her voice becoming more panicked as she remembers more and more of the event leading up till not and noticing the gaps in her memory. "Calm down Miaka can you get out?" says Kyo "I’ll tell you later for now can you get out?" Miaka takes her first good look at her bindings her feet are tied by thick corse brown rope it itches and stings, its so tight it has skinned her ankles raw, she then notices her skirt is torn and an intense pain between her legs "Kyo, what happened what happened to me?" she asks in a panicked voice a look of terror gripping her face "Don’t worry not now we have to get out of here" replies Kyo. Miaka notices tears welling in Kyo’s eyes and the straining of his voice, she watches him climb to his feet straining in agony, he moves towards her. Miaka pushes her fears aside inspired by her boyfriends courage, she leans forward and inspects the lashings on her feet, she suddenly realize she knows nothing about knots as she tries to figure out the tangled mess of brown confining her to the bed, she bites back against the pain in her ribs as she leans forward to bite at the knots trying to loosen them with her teeth. They taste dirty and all of a sudden contemplates what exactly hunters use rope for, she pushes the image of hog-tied game from her mind as she feels the knot loosening, her teeth ache and bleed she remembers hitting the dashboard face first and though it seems irrelevant given her current situation hopes that she hasn’t lost any of her teeth. The first knot gives way and she turns her attention to the second pausing briefly to wonder why it is so easy to free herself. Kyo meanwhile is labouring at his own restraints with less success than his girlfriend, his arm seems useless and is gripped by pain but he continues to tug and tear at the rope ‘I don’t care’ he says to himself 'I’ll do anything to get those guys, anything to not see that again' he starts to choke up again before turning his pain into anger as he tears the steel ring to which he was tied from the wooden floor boards which have weakened with age, he hobbles across to his girlfriends side embracing her as best he can with his hands tied, trying in vain not to hurt her. He looks around for something sharp to free them both with then realizes that the plate of metal that held the ring to the ground was still lying in the middle of the room, he retrieves it and begins to hack at his girlfriends bindings using mostly his good arm, each attempt causing more and more pain, finally he cuts through the last strand and turns to Miaka "Can you stand?" he asks "I think so" she replies slowly swinging her legs off the bed she moves her weight to her feet and stands slowly wincing in pain. All of a sudden her legs give out as a stabbing pain erupts in her stomach, she falls like a limp like a doll onto Kyo's shoulders he braces and reaches up to support her "are you alright?" he asks panicked "yes its just... my stomach, it hurts...my god .." she breaks off, panic once more gripping her face, she thinks back just a few short weeks, it feels like forever now to when she first found out, for most 19 yr old girls it would have meant the end of life as they knew it but she felt unusually calm. Kyo had been so supporting, he was going to marry her as soon as he could afford it...once they had moved out together. Yeah he was so... caring, so responsible, sure he acted immature but when it came down to it he was years older than his face showed, he was what all girls wanted and he loved her. Her parents had not been so accepting, she remembered the fight, those awful things she said, how she wishes she could take it all back, and how she wishes that the last things she might ever say to her parents weren’t those words. She comes back to herself and stands back up she has to get out, she won’t let her parents think that’s how she really felt, and she begins to stagger to the door supported by Kyo. It is only now she notices his arm is broken, the look of pained resolve on his face gives him the look of not a suburban kid in his early twenties but a veteran of great trials like something out of an epic war movie, she is grasped by mixed feelings of nurturing and awe as she sees him put away his pain for her sake, they reach the door and struggle to get it open. No wonder her ropes were so easy to escape she could see no way through even if they had an axe, hell even if one of them could swing it, it was made of solid redwood. Kyo looks around for some keys or anything to help. He sees nothing except the tools by the fire and the fire itself, for a moment he contemplates setting fire to the shack to get out but realizes they would most likely die, and if they didn’t a fire in a snowy area is rather noticeable even to the retarded redneck hillbillies who left them here. He is griped again by his anger towards them, he wishes for a second that they would show up before they escape, 'Lets see how strong they are when I’m not tied up' he thinks but he knows its just the anger talking how could he fight with tied hands and a broken arm even with his one good arm, to fight would hurt his broken arm. Miaka suddenly takes her weight off him and heads slowly for the fire place grabbing the poker and sticking its tip in the fire, "When that heats up use it to melt the bindings on my wrist" she says with a strength Kyo did not know she possessed, he walked over and after a short time retrieved the then glowing poker from the glowing embers and melted the ties from his girlfriends hands, she then untied Kyo using the rope and a piece of wood from the stack beside the fire to splint and sling his broken arm. "We should look for some warm clothes if we are to leave" she says, looking around and spotting a closet, she heads over returning with bright orange hunting vests "These safety vests are all they have, they will make us easy to find but at least they are warm and waterproof", she helps Kyo put his on with his good arm coming out one sleeve and the other being hidden behind the vest she puts her own on and says "I have an idea the wall at the back of the closet is thin I’m going to try to punch through it with the poker”. Kyo at first tried to help but she could see he was tired and the pain in her ribs was subsiding. They weren’t broken after all, she felt so pathetic over acting like that when Kyo had endured so much without complaining. "Just sit by the fire and regain your strength we will need it," she said. Kyo, worn from the beatings he had endured and fatigued by the pain in his arm didn’t object much and allowed himself to be seated by what remained of the fire. She laboured for what seemed like hours slowly knocking one panel at a time until there was enough room to crawl out, finally they were free but all of a sudden looking out across the bleak wasteland of dormant trees and snow her freedom seemed a little crueller than she had ever prepared herself for “Now this bleak hell hole that was so depressing may just be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen" she turned to Kyo and said with tears in her eyes "Are you ready my love?" Kyo, rising from his spot beside the fire replied, "For you, I’m always ready"...
