Mmmm.... Is That Fondue??

Sunday was the night of fiona's dinner party. I arrived at her house around 4:30 to help get things ready. We made a list of everything we needed to get and went to Thornlie Square and bought it all. It was when i was unpacking the shopping that i realised we had missed out on a key ingredient for our cheese fondue........ the cheese. We raced off again and bought some Feta and Mozzarella.

With the food cooking, our guests started to arrive, the first was Brendan, followed shortly by Matt and then finally Diana arrived. Matt and Brendan got along well as they both are tradesmen.

I started to notice a problem when i was cooking the fondue, firstly there wasn't enough wine for it to cook in, secondly the Mozzarella was melting nicely but forming a large mass. We decided to leave the fondue till after. There was plenty of other food to go around though so we all ate nicely. After that we ate ice cream and i completely gave up on the fondue, it had solidified in the pot.

We watched Kiss of the Dragon and everyone started to leave. Once the last person had left, Fiona and I started to clean up. The night was enjoyable and aside from one hitch-up it went smoothly.

Next time i'll try cheddar.

Goodnight my friends!

This is my wonderful 100% cotton shirt all the way from Belgium. I haven't worn it yet but it feels really nice. Posted by Hello

These are my $110 dollar globes. I like them but my mum thinks they are a cheapo, ripoff brand. Posted by Hello

Antwerp

A few of you would know that my dad recently went on a trip to Antwerp, its a prosperous city in Belgium. This explains why i had his car.
He went there for a business conference and a tour of the labs in Belgium, Germany, Poland and Luxemburg. He left on the 21st and came back today, on the 29th. I picked him up from the airport and we came straight home. He gave us our presents. I got this cool shirt, its white, cotton and looks really nice. My sister got a scarf and my mum got perfume. My dad got heaps of chocolate for himself. He really enjoyed his trip but found it hard to sleep so he will be out of it for awhile.
Hope you all enjoy some of the pics from his trip. These are only a few, he has around 145 of them. G'night!

Welcome to the beautiful, Belguim city of Antwerp. Posted by Hello

Friday

I decided not to go to work on Friday but to take the chance to go shopping with laura before she starts back at school. We went to carousel with Lizzie and i bought a pair of globe shoes, and a ripcurl hat. We looked around for awhile then i took them both back to lizzie's house and went home.
In the afternoon i went to the bunton's to pick the girls up, Pamela was very kind and gave me dinner. We all drove up to mindari to see paul's church, it was pretty good, they are new so it will only be getting better. After that we went to a fondue party for a sort time before we left. I dropped them all off then went home.
Bye
