Mmmm.... Is That Fondue??

Sunday was the night of fiona's dinner party. I arrived at her house around 4:30 to help get things ready. We made a list of everything we needed to get and went to Thornlie Square and bought it all. It was when i was unpacking the shopping that i realised we had missed out on a key ingredient for our cheese fondue........ the cheese. We raced off again and bought some Feta and Mozzarella.

With the food cooking, our guests started to arrive, the first was Brendan, followed shortly by Matt and then finally Diana arrived. Matt and Brendan got along well as they both are tradesmen.

I started to notice a problem when i was cooking the fondue, firstly there wasn't enough wine for it to cook in, secondly the Mozzarella was melting nicely but forming a large mass. We decided to leave the fondue till after. There was plenty of other food to go around though so we all ate nicely. After that we ate ice cream and i completely gave up on the fondue, it had solidified in the pot.

We watched Kiss of the Dragon and everyone started to leave. Once the last person had left, Fiona and I started to clean up. The night was enjoyable and aside from one hitch-up it went smoothly.

Next time i'll try cheddar.

Goodnight my friends!
