These boots were made for working

Today was a busy day. i woke up at 4:30am to start work at 6am. when i say start work i mean to get in the van and spend 3.5 hours driving to collie. the purpose of this was to drive around to the different bore sties at the Western Power Coperation Plant and collect water samples for testing. Below this short post u will find a collection of pics from the WPC plant, that i might add isn't actually allowed to be done. Yesterday i was told about the bore work i was going to do so my boss gave me a money order and i bought a pair of nice steel capped shoes, the sole purpose of them was to complie the safety code.
oh yeah, im also now have a level 2 security acces to the plant. this means im allowed to move around the plant unsupervisored in areas that are relevant to my task. pretty cool huh?
as im writing this my eyes r darting in and out of focus, i've had a 13.5 hour shift at work, this means alot of money but it also means im dead tired. i have to work tomorrow as well. *bangs head*
i should go and get my beauty sleep now, hope u enjoy the pics. not even alyce will have these.

This was taken at wellington dam, near collie. this was our last sample point so i took a pic of the wonderful site. i also made a video but the batteries died on the camera so its only a second long. 

The power plant, Doesn't all that white sludge make for a wonderful view. Actually it does look quite impressive in person. 

All those bottles in the cardboard box had to be filled with a different sample, same with the ones in the white box. 

This is the pump we used to get the water out from the bores. The thing on the bottom left controls the pump rate.

My Life Thus Far....

I'm buggered. I went go-karting on sat night as u might have noticed from the pics below this post. I got to bed late and woke up early to go to church, after that me, justin, paul and chris went to KFC and had lunch, went back to ryan's room and played halo 2 for a short time before alyce and diana came in a stopped us from playing. after that i headed up to landsdale for shanes end of uni party, it was great fun, not alot of major drinking went on but there was one nasty incident. aside from that it was great, ate some amazing pork and tripped out with glo-sticks. we crashed around 2 and slept badly till 8 where i had to get up and drag myself to work. the day was going well till my boss told me she wants me to help this guy tomorrow collect samples, this means that i have to get to work by 6am, but on the plus side i now have some brand-new steel capped shoes courteous of my work. If thats not bad enough i have to work on wednesday as well. theres just no time for me to rest.
theres one more thing i want to add about shane's party. it allowed me the chance to get to meet and get to know sandy, his gf. she is such a great girl, does everything for him, if only i could get her to hit him. seeing them together just makes me want a gf, guess i just have to wait for someone to come along.
here's some news on the epic, shane has finished his part and had sent it to me a few days ago but it seems like my junkmail filter decided to delete it. so i will get him to resend it soon.

Part Two

...the smoke slowly spirals upward from the wreck. The constant leaking of the petrol travels through the still air, as the rain has now died off. Miaka's eyes flicker open. All she sees is the cracked windscreen infront of her. The stabbing pain in her head makes her cringe and she attempts to turn her body towards Kyo. She can't see him. She is alone. Miaka gathers up enough strength to undo the buckle of her seatbelt. Her hands tremble as she finally hears the click of the belt coming apart, and she lets it slide through her hands, as it releases. Her next task would be to climb through the shattered window. She struggles to bring her knees up closer to her body, they seem to be lodged beneath the dashboard, in a panic Miaka starts to plead for Kyo's help, where ever he may be. Hearing no response from her love, she tilts her head to the side and begins to cry. "Kyo.....Kyo," she whimpers as she tries to wiggle her feet free from the death grips of the car. "Kyyooo," she pleads, louder this time. "Please, please, come back." Her cries go unheard as she gets angry and punches the dashboard with her fist, in a desperate effort to come untangled from the wreck. Then she hears it, a faint murmur in the still winter night. "Kyo?" she questions, with a glitter of hope that made her heart pound even faster, "Kyo, Kyo, is that you?" Silence. Her eyes flicker over to the broken side mirror, as she scans the surroundings, hoping to see Kyo coming for her. But she only sees the shattered image of the edge of the highway and the gentle fall of snowflakes which are now settling all around her. Miaka's hope drains away and she sits, perfectly still, waiting to die. Waiting for deaths cold shadow to embrace her and take her away, perhaps to be with Kyo, where ever he has ended up. She feels a snowflake fall on her bare arm, she flicks it off and goes back to her frozen image. Suddenly she hears chatter. She lifts her head and squints, trying to make out what the voices are saying... "Robin, it's just not a good look for me. I mean, I have nice legs and all, so I suit spandex. But you just look like a flat-chested girl, is all I'm saying." "Hey, Batman, don't flatter yourself. You look like a smurfing smurf. Anyway, you're not the first superhero to wear tights, look at Superman - now HE"S a good looking smurf!" "Don't even bother Robin, he's straight and he goes out with that smurfette Louis." "Would you two both shut the smurf up? I have to listen to this smurf all the smurfing time, just give it up already!" "Geez Spiderman, lighten up" "Yeah, you're right Robin. Spiderman, you're WAY to smurfing serious. Hey...what the?" Batman's gaze rests upon the car wreck, and the young japanese girl in the front seat, possibly unconscious. "Oh my, well I didn't expect this on my evening stroll. I better handle it," states Robin as he begins to strut forward, all high and mighty. But Batman grabs his shoulder, "No way, I'll take care of this, this is a job for a smurf, not some whinny-assed cry baby like yourself." "Hey Batman, I've had my arse kicked many times, but that really hurt. You don't know much about not hurting people's feelings," says Robin as he pouts and crosses his arms. "Oh harden up smurfette, you know you smurfing fight like a smurfing girl, whereas I kick THE arse," gloats Batman. Meanwhile, Spiderman has successfully pulled Miaka from the wreck and has found Kyo, who had been thrown from the car and had passed out next to a tree. "Hey ah, guys, it's done, so you know, you don't need to...." "Oh my God Batman, you are SO smurfing full of yourself." "Sorry Robin, I can't hear you, you smurftard. Maybe if you weren't such a retarded monkey I wouldn't suspend your weapon privileges." "Oh get over it, we all know your smurfing comebacks are from www.redvsblue.com," Robin claims as he throws his cream donut at Batman. "Oh now that's just taking it too far....."

Part One

Here is the first part of the epic i mentioned. I hope someone will add their part to it soon, it would be great if i can get everyone helping, ask ur friends if they will like to contribute, it doesn't have to be much. You can write as much or as little as u want. and it can follow any style u want, but remember, DON"T KILL THE STORY!

The girl stands facing out over the cliff at the grey ocean stretched before her. The dark clouds roll and thunder above her. A chill wind sprays salty water in the face of the girl. A great depression envelops her as she looks at her bleak surroundings. She lets out a great sigh, turns around and heads back to the car.
“Let’s get out of this place,” she calls out to her boyfriend, “it’s starting to get depressing”
She gets inside the car, and they continue to drive down the winding road. They have no destination but they continue to drive as if they are late. The car cuts corners and is blown around by the strong wind that is picking up. They aren’t driving towards anything but more like driving away. The wind starts to get stronger and rain begins to fall from the sky. The lights on the car flick on but that does little to aid in visibility. A warning sign of a tight turn goes un-noticed as the car speeds past, faster then it should be. The lights of the car suddenly illuminates the barrier on the side of the road, The brakes of the car screech for a second before they become useless on the wet road. The back of the car slides out as the driver trys to turn the car around the corner.
The crash from the impact goes unheard as the clouds continue to thunder and roar.

Post-Exam!

Good news! i've finished my last exam today, i have now completed my first year of engineering. All my friends still have one more exam so there is no party right now. I had writen out a nice post this morning but it stuffed up when i tried to send it so now i have to try and rethink what i wrote, I remember talking about my idea for an epic that i had last night. The way is works is i will write the first part of the story then anyone can email me their piece and i'll post that, then someone else continues it. So at the end we will have a story comprissed of the ideas from many people. The most important thing is to not end the story, and you can make it follow any style you want. Ill post the first part soon.

This is one of the games we play at frequency, they have 5mins to get as many pegs on their face as possible, travis won with 42 pegs. 

Thought this was a good action of of alyce getting wet. heehee

Update

last night i pulled up at the buntons house and guess wut??.........They were waiting for me with water pistols loaded! how cheap of them, they could atleast wait till i had mine loaded. we had alot of fun running around wetting each other. after the wettening we went inside and played some of our usual games. eddie had his hair bleached as a part of caution and the girls backed down from their dare, for the second time! but im starting to notice a mistake with it, guys r meant to dare the girls to do stuff that guys would girl, and girls get guys to do girl things. im starting to doubt if we guys r doing it right, but who cares, we're winning anyway.
after the games were finished things started to get alittle boring as ryan hoped on the xbox with a few other guys and left everyone else to entertain themselves. but enough of last night.
tomorrrow is my final exam for first year engineering. YAY! then i will have finished for the year. no more study until march next year. i will be glad once its over, there is no exam that is harder then a uni one. TEE was enjoyable compared to this.
speaking of exams i should study. talk to u all later.

The Braying and Neighing of Barnyard Animals

Here's just a quick post that i decided to put up. I wanted to put a link to this website called penny arcade, its a website that contains game reviews, a regular comic strip and some other cool stuff. some of the strips in it are really funny, but unless your into computers you won't get them. Now i thought i would give a quick run-down on whats been happening, i had my second exam this morning, it was for mechanics, some of the stuff was hard but the rest was easy to do. Hopefully i passed it. After i did the exams i went to carosel with some of my close uni friends, we hung out for awhile then we all went our seperate ways. Thats pretty much everything, ill add another post on monday night, after i have finished my last exam. But for now, i bid you a fond fairwell.

Update

Ok, here is an update on wuts been happening with my life. on friday night fiona fianlly came over to my house and met my parents. we watched 50 first dates while we ate dinner, i still reckon that its a chick. after the movie we played a quick game of pool and i won. i then decided to show fiona a view of the city lights from this hill nearby. we drove there without a problem but as we were walking up i reaslised that a torch would have come in handy as it was dark and required walking along a track. we didn't get the view we wanted to we headed home and settled down to watch van helsing. that went till 12, after which fiona left.
on sat night was youth group. ryan was excited as he got a copy of halo 2 for the xbox, so heaps of guys were playing it. most of us were outside with the bbq and watching mean girls. its actually quite funny, alittle disturbing at times but still funny.
not much happened on sunday, my dad had an art show on so i went there for a couple of hours before i headed home to finish my study. this morning i had my first exam, it was for maths and it was pretty easy. only 2 more to do and i'll have finished my first year of engineering. YAY! time to post pics. bye
